Endocrine System Effects ~
According to Costmeticsinfo.org, data indicate that methyl, propyl, and butyl forms of parabens interfere with the functioning of the endocrine system. Specifically, parabens are endocrine disruptors stored in the body tissue that interfere with glandular activity and hormone production. Moreover, these preservative chemicals are associated with the following in infants and children: developmental disorders, dysfunction of the immune system, learning problems as well as reproductive disorders. The Food and Drug Administration states that several assessments made by the Cosmetic Ingredient Review report that parabens are safe, with no side effects, in cosmetics at levels up to 25 percent. It is advised that one read the ingredients in cosmetics before buying any products containing these preservatives.

Patchouli essential oil is an excellent oil for many skin conditions for example: it is nourishing to our skin, excellent for wound healing, anti-septic and anti-inflammatory. Another essential oil that I value and use in Aromatherapy natural beauty skin care creams and serums.
Because it is an emollient Patchouli softens and repairs, dry cracked skin.
Patchouli is excellent for mosquito bites as it stops the itching, cuts and abrasions and can be applied neat to the affected area.
I use this essential oil for wound care on my animals on lacerations, allergic reactions and for its anti-pruritic (anti-itch) properties.
An essential oil I highly recommend to have in your first aid kit!

I simply adore Neroli’s beautiful aroma and use it as a perfume, if you have an orange tree in your garden you will know exactly what I am saying. In Spring and Summer the perfume of the orange blossoms permeates the air and surrounds you in a veil of fragrance like no other.
Neroli is a very valuable essential oil to have for it is known as, ‘The Rescue Remedy’ to our nervous system. It will offer protection when you are feeling emotionally and energetically vulnerable, I refer to it as an oil of the Angels. Neroli essential oil has a high vibration and emanates pure love.
Use Neroli to uplift your sorrows and give a lightness of being. Anoint your heart and Solar Plexus chakras and also on the back of your neck, level with your shoulders ~ C7
This is an essential oil I use in a lot of skin care remedies as it is nourishing and very healing. Excellent combined with carrot CO2 essential oil for mature and aging skin.

This is such a delightful essential oil, it is emotionally uplifting giving you the gift of happiness and bringing sunshine in to your day. Lemon essential oil is fresh and invigorating to the mind which assists in gaining clarity!
In Japan several years ago research was done by using Lemon essential oil in the air conditioning during office hours and what they found was that there were less typing errors made by typists. They would also use essential oils to assist in winding down at the end of each day.

Unfortunately this is an essential oil that has been adulterated by adding synthetic chemicals and other extending agents, so do be careful when purchasing your essential oils. Always make sure you are buying from a reputable Aromatherapy company, that they are labelled correctly and have the botanical name on the label. They do vary in their aromas and the percentages of chemical constituents.
